Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
Not really since I was also the one who suggested it but they didn't really follow since they don't have an active community.
Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
Even if you do say that you were the one who had suggested it, we can't know for sure.
I like the set-up of the forums currently. It is plain and simple. It is easy to find your way around, and it is straight forward. For the time being, I feel that the server does not need some big complex forum that has a lot of unneeded categories. It is fine how it is now, in my opinion. I don't think that things really need to change very much.
This may be a great idea in other peoples minds, but to me, I think that it should stay how it is, at least, for the time being.
Changing a forum to have something big and complex seems like something a server with a lot of people, where they would NEED to have this change occur in order to keep the forums clean and organized. But for now, the forum set-up seems perfect to fit the server. No other member that I have talked to has complained about the set-up, and to me, I like it simple, and how it is.
Just my opinion, any other feedback from other members would be appreciated in order for Pony to make a decision that will please all/most members.

Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
Not all of it is good but some forum sections can be added like freemarket. Cuz we dont have like a free market to place a shop and we still need a bigger community and with a small community there not rly much players are saying in the FM Sell blbablabla or Buy something.
Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
I agree with Tico, (Gstyle), I think there should be a section for the freemarket. As we are not able to set up shops, (I don't think, and if we were, most would die). I think there should be something like 'Buy/Sell' where people would be able to post a thread, have a meeting spot and there item(s) with the current/updated stat(s). It should be set up so that there could be sections for like Equips, then within that, there could be Head, Necklace, Body, ect... Then there could be Use items section, with Potions, Buffs, ect... And so on through all of the Inventory categories. Just to organize that part.
I know that there are not very many players, but even just having that may increase players. There would be more of a chance of all of the players interacting that way, even in different time zones, cause they wouldn't have to actually be online at the same time to be able to set-up a trade. They could set it up on the forums, and then just jump on the server trade, and get off, or possibly keep playing if they are able to.
(Edit):
To do this, it may be difficult for Pony, but he should be able to do it. But the final decision about whether this happens or not is all up to him, feedback does help, but him and the other staff members must talk it over and figure out whether they want to do this or not.

Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
Guild is a very good section too.
But if the Community is getting bigger than you should @ ban appeal cuz if there more players there more hackers (I think so) than if there banned, and they think there banned for nothing or just wanna know how long there banned they just make an topic and ask it and if they gonna rage there just warn or right away block (ban) there accounts on forum too;)

Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
It's alright, for me, if you won't change the forums since this is just a suggestion. It's still up to Pony on whether he will change it or not. ^_^
Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
I like the idea of the guild section, as well. Although the "Ban" thing would make more sense to have it limited to only Admin/GM/Mod posting and have them update the list whenever there is someone banned. They would have to include a reason, and possibly links to evidence for Pony to see, as well as the community so that they know to either watch out for that sort of thing, or, so that they know that the staff aren't just banning people they they think are hacking, and may not actually be hacking.

Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
IMO, it'd be better if players can also post in the Ban Section as they can also provide some more proof or evidence against the hackers/scammer. As for the appeal section though, we can allow the players to make a new thread but, we won't allow players to reply on the threads, only GMs/Admins/Mods can.
Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
Yeah, like what I was trying to get at with the only staff posting, is that possibly only staff can edit the original post, and add to the list, but then players can then comment, but not edit the first post.

Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
Based on my experience with Forumotion, yes, you can customize the whole section so players can only make threads.
Re: Forum Categories Suggestion
This will need to be a long term plan because of the fact that the server will be a while until it gets remade.
