I saw this server listed in the top100 but it was a low rate so I decided to join. The forums seem inactive and the server was down...is this place still up and running?

Welcome to the forums. 
Yes, it is still up and running, but it is going to take sometime as we need to reformat a new server, and get everything up and running. Our previous server crashed as someone had done something within the server that they shouldn't have, and it caused piles of problems to fix.
After looking through lines upon lines of coding trying to figure out how to save the server, Pony couldn't manage to fix it, and decided that he had wanted a break. Then he got Minecraft server up and running and stuck with that for a while, and he is now trying to bring this back. As he said in the 'News' Category on the Home Page of the forums, it will take a couple weeks to create a new server, so please, just hold out, and join once its up.
